Doctoral Consortium

For the first time ever, two ICSB affiliates will fund a conference scholarship for both a doctoral student from the United States to attend the ICSB European affiliate (ECSB) RENT conference in the Fall of 2008 and a doctoral student from Europe to attend the U.S. conference in January 2009.

Europe Doctoral Students:

Doctoral candidates interested in attending and presenting their research proposal (not the results of finished research) should send a two page abstract and include information on when they started their PhD study and when they expect to finish to Professor Poul Rind Christensen (RIND@asb.dk) no later than June 1, 2008

The number of participants is limited to 20 students so we encourage early submission. You will be notified of acceptance of your proposal no later than the 15th of June 2008.

No fee is charged for participation in the Doctoral Seminar. However, participation in the RENT Conference is compulsory. 

US Doctoral Students:

U.S. Doctoral candidates and current members of USASBE interested in attending and presenting their research proposal (not the results of finished research) should send the following (via email):

• A two page abstract and include information on when they started their PhD study and when they expect to finish.
• A one page summary explaining the benefits they will gain from attending the ECSB-RENT conference.
• A recommendation email sent from their advisor.

No later than June 16, 2008

You will be notified of acceptance of your proposal no later than the June 25, 2008.

Europe Doctoral Students Attending the USASBE Conference:
