Knowledge Links
Web sites
On your left is a picture of diamonds, the name diamond derives from the ancient Greek "δάμας (adamas) "invincible", "untamed", from "- (a-), "un-" + δαμάω (damáo), "to overpower, to tame". ICSB also considers knowledge as another form of diamonds. What does Knowledge Links mean?
A search on the Web will net you dozens of definitions of knowledge links, many of which make rather pedantic distinctions among data, information, knowledge, and wisdom. Discussion groups on Web sites devoted to Knowledge Management tend to argue the definition ad nauseam. It’s all very interesting, because each knowledge-management guru chooses a definition consistent with his or her view of what aspects of information, knowledge, or business activities should be managed.
However, for this section of the ICSB site we decided to use A.C. Foskett’s distinction between knowledge and information:
knowledge is what I know
information is what we know
Below is a list of web site (k-links) that we consider excellent sources for information. We leave it to the reader to decipher from the information what they consider as knowledge.
United States:

ABOUT 411SmallBusinessFacts.com - 411SmallBusinessFacts.com is a searchable data base of approximately 2,000 facts about American small businesses and their owners (or managers) produced by the NFIB Research Foundation. The Foundation developed this information from telephone surveys of small employers – those employing from one person in addition to the owner(s) to 250. Data collection began in 2001 and continues through the present. The data are gathered regularly for a series of publications known as NFIB’s National Small Business Poll. New Poll data are added to 411SmallBusinessFacts.com eight times annually. The small business facts presented in the data base address a wide range of subject matter and include material which typically cannot be found in other sources.
