Combining academic curiosity with value creation: A process course on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Entrepreneurial capabilities are becoming increasingly important in today’s society. This course has three aims. First, it will enhance your entrepreneurial potential and second it will enable you to reshape your imagination of what you are able to accomplish with your current disciplinary background. Third, the course fosters the development of unique business models. Using a revolutionary process oriented approach, you will learn to develop opportunities and unfold your own individual entrepreneurial project. You will also experience how your particular disciplinary background and everyday practice can be employed to facilitate the creation of value (e.g. economic, social, or environmental) through collaboration with others.

ECSB POLICY DAY at RENT: Workshop on Women Entrepreneurship (Chair Prof. Friederike Welter) on November 20th in Vilnius
We very welcome participants to the RENT pre-conference day with a Workshop on Women Entrepreneurship to be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 9:30-12:00 a.m. at the RENT conference venue, University of Management and Economics, Vilnius, Lithuania. The workshop will focus on Policies and Support for Women's Entrepreneurship, The Gender Perspective in Entrepreneurship Research and Teaching and A Case Study about Successful Women Entrepreneurship. The workshop will start by initial presentations held by Prof. Friederike Welter, Dr. Cristina Díaz García and a Lithuanian Women Entrepreneur. The second part of the workshop will consist of round tables that allow an intensive discussion about the workshop topics. There are no fees for the workshop.
A growing body of research and policy initiatives pay attention to the field of women entrepreneurship. Female entrepreneurs’ activities and initiatives are becoming more and more powerful and account for a growing part of entrepreneurial activity. However, women entrepreneurship, as a field of research together with its implications for policy and practice, still remains understudied and voices become louder that call for new research directions. Accordingly, we also feel a strong need to facilitate and organize collaborative works including all the stakeholders of women entrepreneurship: women entrepreneurs themselves, researchers, policy-makers, educators, councelors, analysts in international institutions, etc. The aim of this workshop is to share and discuss research, reflexive practices and political insights on key women entrepreneurship issues.
